Boy, it's been a long time since I posted something. I decided not to make any new year's resolutions this year. Well I did tell my wife I would try not to leave the lights on throughout the house so as not to waste electricity but apart from that, nothing. That way I have no commitments I can break like I always seem to do.
So, as if I didn't have enough to do already, I decided to start another commitment (that I will probably break as well) and that is to begin photographing in hopes of producing a book of fine-art photos. I have decided to use blurb.com to do this. I already have two other books in the process of which those commitments stand at the door of breakage if I don't get back on them to finish them.
The reason I am writing this here is because I am going to use my Minox DCC Leica M3 to do it. I am not going to be a purist about it—I am also a photo retoucher so I'm going to make the images look as best I can, plus I don't want to be limited (short of using the camera which is very limited in what it can do). I am probably not going to make any mention of the equipment or processes I will use in the book. It will simply be a collection of photos with some thoughts.
I am actually thinking of producing a second book that describes all of the technical aspects.
So there you have it and now I'm off to do something completely unrelated to this project.
